Welcome Hagen Nemzek

Ohio Prospects is excited to officially welcome Hagen Nemzek as the 2026 – 2027 16U Coach. 

Hagen Nemzek is a Northern Virginia native with more than 20 years of high-level playing and coaching experience. He developed his game with the Reston Raiders and Virginia Statesmen programs before advancing to a successful junior career across the United States and later playing professionally in Sweden with Åker/Strängnäs HC. His playing accomplishments include an AWHL Championship, three NVSHL All-Star selections, CHA Scoring and Points Leader honors, and recognition as a Sweden Division 2 All-Star selectee.

Hagen is a USA Hockey Level 4 Certified Coach and a USA Hockey Director Certified coach. He has coached at multiple levels of the game—from youth through junior hockey—both in the United States and internationally. Throughout the DC Metro area, he is widely regarded as a premier skills and power skating instructor, known for his detail-oriented approach, high-tempo training environment, and consistent track record of player development.

Hagen’s coaching philosophy emphasizes building a positive, fast-paced, and competitive environment that encourages confidence, accountability, and continuous growth. He views his role as both mentor and educator, focusing on developing well-rounded players who demonstrate strong work ethic, disciplined habits, and respect for the game.
